After some deliberation, I have chosen Sicily as our next wine dinner destination. The reasons are simple, Sicily embodies many other countries, cultures, and, most importantly, culinary diversity like nowhere else.
Our Co-host, Scott Gayman, has been with us on three other occasions, always bringing something new to the experience. This event is not a tasting- this is a DINNER. So please bring your appetite. The journey begins promptly at 6:30 pm.

I have chosen Sicily twice before, but each dinner has been entirely different, and I plan nothing less for the next one. The character of Sicily has been described as "proud, brooding, enigmatic and irreverent," which, if I am being honest, sounds an awful lot like yours truly.

I am so proud of my heritage. I am so proud of the lessons, the stories, the faith, the work ethic, and the importance of the gathering. I am proud of the diversity in the cuisine: the Arab, African, and Greek influences.

I am excited to be pairing up with Planeta Winery again! We will select wines from the 5 Planeta vineyards Menfi, Vittoria, Noto, Etna, and Capo Milazzo.

~Elaine Pusateri Cowan,  Chef de Cuisine

"Our tendency towards innovation and modernity has never distanced us from any historical and traditional interpretation of wine. Our patient and meticulous research have always been directed to the past as much as to the future; on the one hand, we profoundly linked to the oldest Sicilian traditions of winemaking with its heritage of indigenous varieties and on the other, an interest in those international grape vines which are best adapted to these territories, without neglecting the most vigorous and imaginative investigations into other varieties." ~ Planeta

One commonly asked question—When will you publish the menu?

The answer is at the event. I will lay out a rough menu and go over it with Scott to choose the perfect pairing, but often tweaking the dishes is part of my process. I have not disappointed anyone yet. These dinners are designed for those who love food and will try everything. There will not be any modifications.
